My brother in-law Casey Patton and I have been working on some of his songs to perform. I have really enjoyed playing them with him. Last night though was the highlight of our time together when we got a good friend of mine Lee Watford to come and play some bass with us. I can't begin to explain how enjoyable this was. Casey and I have been really trying to work on trying to get these songs to sound right. Lee Watford is incredible. For the first time in a while I really got excited about playing music. Casey writes some awesome songs and I am excited that we get to make them come alive now. If anybody needs a bass player let me know. I think Lee is extremely gifted and tasteful at the same time which is hard to come by. Some guys are tasteful but are not confident in their playing and some are talented but hack away and make you want to drop a brick on their hands. Anyway I think soon we are going to start gigging so go ahead a let your adrenaline run with anticipation and call Lee to play bass.
Three Bits of News About Me in the Past Week.
i have a little bad news for all of my family and friends. yesterday my dad was taking off the radiatior cap on top of one of our machines at work. as soon as as the cap came off the radiator exploded with boiling hot water. trying to avoid the water he jumped off the machine which was about a 6 foot drop. he ended up landing on his feet wrong at shattered his heel bones on both of his feet. he is hurting very bad right now and will probably be in the hospital for a couple more days. we are waiting for news to see if he has to have surgery or not. anyway, for those of you who pray please keep my dad in mind. thanks.
I have many complaints about the city of Birmingham. Everything political about the magic city and its county Jefferson is terrible. One thing that has made me furious is this drought that everybody is talking about. For the past three days there has been a main water line break in the street right outside of my office. Who knows how many thousands and thousands of gallons of waterare gushing out from this break, running down the road and going directly into the storm water sewer. I have called the Birmingham Water Works twice and both times it has been the same answer. "We have put in the order sir for someone to go and look at it." Why do you need someone to look at it? Do you not trust me that there are thousands of gallons coming out of the street every day that you don't come and fix this? Who knows how much money the water works have spent on trying to get me to stop watering my grass.
